Nancy Amaral

Nancy Rita Amaral, 102, of Newport, died peacefully on November 13, 2025, in Wellington, FL where she had moved to be closer to family. She was born in Newport on April 28, 1923, to the late Salvatore and Concettina (Imbruglia) Raffa. She was the wife of the late Anthony Amaral and the youngest of her late siblings, Thomas, Anthony, and Samuel Raffa. Her children, Anthony and Nancy Amaral also preceded her in death, but left eight loving grandchildren to survive her, Linda Hayes (Michael), Karen Terrano (Michael), Susanne Corso (Frank), Diahann Cordeiro (Scott), David Amaral (Sonia), Christina Young (Scott), Carrie Cohen (Paul), and Nancy Heyer (Chris), and many great and great-great grandchildren.

Nancy will be remembered as an outgoing lady who loved spending time with family and friends, taking care of others, laughing, and cooking. While she enjoyed her frequent trips to Florida and eventually moved there, Newport, her "City by the Sea", remained her love.

A memorial mass will be said for Nancy at 10 a.m. on June 13, at St. Lucy's Catholic Church in Middletown. A Celebration of Life will be held @ 4 p.m. the following day. If you would like to attend, please call 561-723-0939.
