Nancy B. Hall

Nancy Ann (Bissell) Hall passed away at John Clarke Nursing Center, Middletown, RI, on Thursday, June 25, at the age of 97.

Born in Melrose, MA, the daughter of George D. Bissell, DMD, and Sarah Fay Bissell, she married Byron J. Hall, Jr. in 1951. They raised a family in Reading, MA, with summers in Portsmouth, RI. In 1995 she moved to Portsmouth full-time and lived a long and satisfying life in the community. She was a member of St. Anthony's Parish for many years. She volunteered with Meals-on-Wheels and the Glen Manor House Authority.

Nancy is predeceased by her husband, Byron. She is survived by four children, Gail Hall of Boston, MA; Byron (Skip) and Leslie Hall of Danby, VT; Mark Hall of Gray ME; and Laurie and Mark Berry of Portsmouth, RI. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass will be held on July 25, 2026 at 10 AM at St. Anthony's Church of Portsmouth, 2836 East Main Rd., Portsmouth, RI. Interment will follow at Portsmouth Cemetery.
