Nancy W. Jones Tavares, 77 of Newport passed away Saturday, October 14, 2017 in Newport Hospital. She leaves her loving husband of 27 years Ronald A. Jones.Born in Wellsville, NY, she was the daughter of the late David Whitaker and Helen (Van Sciver) Murphy.Nancy worked as a bookkeeper for Manpower in Providence.Besides her husband she leaves her children Alexis Tavares of Marana, AZ, Peter Tavares of Providence and MarinaNancy also leaves her brothers Larry Murphy, Barry Murphy, Darrell Murphy and Kevin Murphy.Memorial services will be held, Friday, October 20, 2017 at2:00 PM in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.
