Norbert 'Nobby' Rebello

Norbert S. Rebello, 88, of Portsmouth, RI died on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River. Norbert was born February 5, 1929 in Fall River, the son of the late Manuel and Louisa (Rodrigues) Rebello. Nobby was a carpenter by trade, and spent 18 years managing the Dunes of Ocean Ridge properties in Florida. Prior to his life in Florida, Nobby was known by many as one of the friendly faces behind the bar at the Green Valley Country Club. He was an avid sports fan, loved going to the track, rooting for Red Sox and Patriots, as well as the Atlanta Braves. He also enjoyed tending to his flower garden. Norbert also had a deeply spiritual side, and travelled on several religious retreats, including Italy, Medjugorje, and South America.He is survived by several nieces and nephews, Larry Rebello, Louise Salo, Ron Raposa, Michael, Mark, and Philip Correia, Susan Roderick; and Leonel Rebello, and one son Douglas.He was predeceased by his sisters, Mary Mascarenhas, Lydia Raposa, and Olive Correia, and his brothers, Lawrence and Leonel Rebello.Calling hours will be Friday, November 17 from 4:00-7:00pm at Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI.A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 9:00 am from Connors Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 am in St. Barnabas Church, 1697 East Main Road, Portsmouth.
