Olinda Mary King

Olinda M. (Almeida) King, 93, of Middletown passed away, Saturday, June 16, 2018 at home. She was the wife of the late James A. King.Born in Newport, she was the daughter of the late Jacintho and Nora (Battencourt) Almy.Mrs. King leaves her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren Ann Macready and her husband Bill of Marlton, NJ and their children Kelly Macready of New Orleans, LA and Christopher Macready of Marlton, James King and his wife Lisa of Middletown, RI and their children, Jennifer King of Portsmouth and James King and his wife Rebecca and their children James Russell King and Maxwell Easton King of Middletown, Michael King of Middletown.She also leaves her brother John Almeida of Newport and her sister Lidy Vindinha of Middletown.Besides her husband and parents, she was the sister of the late Mae Johnson, Ann Reis, Lee Almy, Nora Milne and Jessie Almeida.Calling hours will be held Thursday, June 21, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, June 22, 2018 at 9:30 AM in St. Marys Church, Spring Street, Newport. Burial will follow at St. Columba Cemetery, Middletown.
