Paul Leeming, 69, of Tiverton, RI, passed away on April 30, 2018.
Aftercourageouslyweatheringan amazingstorm, hepeacefullysurfed out on his last waveat Newport Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Known to most as Saul,he was born in New Bedford, MA on May 2, 1948 to the late Albert Leeming and Helen (Murdock) Leeming.Heis survived by his children, Justin, Bethany, and Alison(Rob), and his grandsons,Zacharyand Robby. He also leaves his brothers Robert(Sharon)and Greg,as well ashisAunt FrancesCairns.
Saulwas a Navy veteran and lifelong commercial fisherman.Everything wasfine as kindwhen he was on the water or with his family, especially his grandsons.In addition to hispassion for music, nature andsurfing, he enjoyed cooking, sailing, andworking with his hands.His legacy will live on among his family, friends, fellow fishermen, and surfers.
In accordance withSauls wishes, his ashes will be placed at sea,beyond the Sakonnet Lighthouse. A celebration of his life will be announced at a later date.In lieu of flowers or donations,please remember him by showing kindness to others.
