Pauline ODonnell, age 87, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 26, 2019 in Middletown, RI. She was born in New York City, NY to Vito DeMarco and Rosalina (LoZito) DeMarco.
A graduate of Cathedral High School in New York City, Pauline worked prior to raising her two daughters in Bronx, NY. In 2008, she moved to Rhode Island to be closer to some of her family.
Pauline is predeceased in death by her loving husband, Terrence ODonnell. A loving mother, she is survived by her daughter Maureen Quiles of Bronx, NY, daughter Teresa ODonnell (and husband Jeffrey Burgess) of Middletown, RI, granddaughter Qiana Placencia (and husband Fausto) of Pawcatuck, CT, granddaughter Teresa Quiles (and Tory Silvers), and great-granddaughters, Angelina and Alexandra Placencia and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pauline loved people and enjoyed having surprise visits. She enjoyed various crafts, cooking and watching classical movies. Pauline was a very kind soul to all, and others have learned so much from her journey here on earth. She treasured and embraced every moment with her family. When parting after visits, her last words were always I love you.
Her family is so very grateful to the staff at Grand Islander for having shown such kindness, love and support during her stay.
Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Grand Islander Nursing Home, 333 Green End Avenue, Middletown, RI 02842.
