Peter Davis

Peter D Davis Sr. 82 of Portsmouth RI passed away peacefully with his family by his side, at Heatherwood Nursing Home on August 26,2024.

He was the husband of Jean E (Ray)Davis. He was born June 30, 1942 in Abilene, Texas. He was the son of the late Leo Davis and Gertrude Stevens Davis. In addition to his wife Jean, Peter is survived by his children Jeffrey Alan Davis and Peter D. Davis Jr. and his wife Linda Davis of Portsmouth RI and two Grandchildren; Gregory Scott Davis and his partner Sean Holekamp and Danielle Nicole Mello and her husband Joshua also of Portsmouth. He is also survived by three great granddaughters; Kylie Rose Mello, Layla Marie Mello, and Nora Lynn Mello and one great Grandson Lukas Aaron Mello.

Pete served in the U.S. Navy for over 26 years, and was very proud to serve. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his sisters June Davis Carter and Linda Davis, several nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

A Celebration of Life will be held on September 7,2024 2:00pm at Kings Grant Fellowship 100 West Main Road, Portsmouth RI 02871
