Richard Raymond Fitzgerald

Santa Anna, California - August 27, 2018

Richard R. Fitzgerald passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness.

Richie or Fitzy was born in Portsmouth June 7, 1990. He was known for his kind manner, big heart and sense of humor. Richie is survived by his parents, Stephen and Joan Fitzgerald of Portsmouth and his younger brother Kevin M. Fitzgerald of Costa Mesa, CA. Richie was predeceased by his older brother, Dennis P. Fitzgerald.

Richie attended St. Philomena School, Bishop Connelly High School and Becker College.

Richie loved sports particularly Football and Lacrosse. He was employed by Sober Techniques Inc. dedicating himself to helping others. He also spent several years in the food industry, eventually creating his own business, Food By Fitzy.

Calling hours are Thursday, September 6, 4- 8 PM, at Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI 02871.

A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 7th at 10:00AM in St. Anthonys Church, 2826 East Main Road Portsmouth, RI 02871.

Burial to follow at St. Columba Catholic Cemetery, 465 Browns Lane. Middletown, RI 02842.
