Rita Cosgrove Martin

Rita Cosgrove Martin passed away peacefully at home on January 11, 2013. Born in Brooklyn, NY on April 30, 1932, she is the daughter of the late William and Genevieve Cosgrove and mother to the late William Francis Martin. She was a graduate of St. Agnus Seminary in Brooklyn, NY. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Walter John Martin, her four daughters, Janice L. Martin of Brooklyn, CT, Barbara Sue Lucas of Bath, NY, Laura Lee Owens of Knoxville, TN and Lisa Martin Lasky of Portsmouth, RI, and her six cherished grandchildren, Geoffrey and James Lucas, Martin and Maggie Lasky and Connor and Carly Owens. A private graveside ceremony will be held to honor her life and her devotion to her family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Jimmy Fund in her honor at www.jimmyfund.org.
