Rita H. Sisson

Rita Sisson, 95, of Portsmouth, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at the Grand Islander Health Care Center in Middletown. She was the wife of the late Prescott Sisson.

The youngest eleven children, Rita was born in Fall River to Joseph and Cordelia Doucet.

She leaves her children, Roger Sisson (Judy) of Pawtucket, Nancy Winning of Tiverton, Paul Sisson (Maria) of Middletown, Ann Lecuivre (Steve) of Portsmouth and David Sisson (Diane) of Rumford.

Rita was the grandmother of Deb Cook (Jeff), Ken Sisson (Nancy), Laurie Miller, Brian Sisson (Amy), James Winning, Carrie Winning (Rick Shoesmith) Stephanie Shlomy (Zev) Greg Lecuivre (Kara), Geoff Sisson (Lauren) and Eric Sisson as well as fourteen great-grandchildren.

Rita was a Gold Star mother of the late Donald Sisson.


Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family on Friday morning , March 15, 2019 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM in the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth.

Her funeral will be Friday at 8:30 AM from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Anthonys Church, 2836 East Main Road, Portsmouth. Burial will follow at St. Columba Cemetery, Middletown.
Donations in her memory may be made to St. Anthonys Church.
