RobertWhatley, 28, of Glen Burnie, Maryland passed away on July 6, 2018.Robert was born on October 25, 1989 in Newport, RI.
Robert was raised inNewportand attended Sheffield andCoggeshallSchools when he was young. He also lived overseas for several years with his family, including Idar Oberstein, Kaiserslautern, RamsteinandStuttgart,Germany, as well as Mons, Belgium.
He graduated from Green Run High School in Virginia Beach, VA. Helovedskateboarding,tattoosand attending local Punk Rock shows. He loved Newport and came home to visit family and friends often. He played Newport POP Warnerfootballwhen he was a child andalso at SHAPE Junior High School in Belgium. Rob was caring and compassionate while always providing an instinctive protective relationship towards his sisters and nephew.
Rob is survived by his parents John and Simone Blythe, his sistersMalaysia andNyahBlythe and his nephewZacariasBlythe. He also leaves his grandmother Barbara Whatley and his uncle Michael Houston.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday July 19, 2018 at2:00pmat Memorial Funeral Home 375 Broadway in Newport. Burial will be in Middletown Cemetery in Middletown, RI.
