Rowan Harper Carr, 4 weeks old, gained her angel wings and passed away unexpectedly at the Newport Hospital on July 30th, 2018. Baby Rowan was surrounded by her loving family, who cherished, loved and adored her with all their hearts. Rowan was born July 1st in Newport, RI, to her loving parents Caitlin A Brousseau and Conor D Carr, both of Portsmouth, RI. She was immediately a ray of sunshine and the light of their lives. Rowans big sister Hayden adored, spoiled, and doted on her little Row-Row, who brought only laughs, happiness and pure joy to her family and to all those she met during her short life.Rowan is survived by her parents, siblings Hayden Rosa of Portsmouth, and Bishop, Scarlette, and Adelle Carr, all of Newport, RI. Rowan also leaves behind her loving grandmothers Kathryn A Cox Grammy of Middletown, and Lisa Carr Nanny, of Newport, both of whom adored and cherished her. Rowan will be very dearly missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and neighbors, as she was such a blessing to all of us. Rowan was the sweetest and gentlest soul, and she loved to be held and cuddled all day. Rowan Harper made a profound impact on so many for such a tiny little soul. She will be terribly missed, and her memory will live on in our hearts forever.Calling hours will be held on Thursday, August 9th, from 1:30 PM -2:30 PM, with a memorial service to immediately to follow in the funeral home at 2:30 PM, at Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway Newport, RI. Burial will be private.The family wishes to thank from the bottom of their hearts everyone who has reached out with heartfelt condolences, empathy, and endless support during this tragically difficult time. Also, we extend tremendous gratitude to the staff present at Newport Hospital who showed nothing but compassion, respect and dignity to our precious baby and to us.
