Ruth V. Collins

Ruth (Vickery) Collins, 96, of Battery Lane, Jamestown, RI, passed away at home on February 14, 2017.She was the wife of the late Thomas E. Collins, Jr.Born in Quincy, MA on October 11, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence G. and Florence (Morin) Vickery.Mrs. Collins earned her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from the Peter Bent Brigham Nursing School in Boston in 1943 and thereafter became a nurse in the US Army serving during World War II. She later worked as a flight attendant.She is survived by her sister, Irene Bergeson, of Jamestown, RI; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are private.
