Obituary

Samia Menassa, 89, passed away peacefully at her home on July 15, 2026. Born on March 5, 1937 in Tyre, Lebanon to Afife and Joseph Menassa, Samia came to America in 1970. Along with her parents, her brother Sami Menassa and his wife Marie, Samia made a life in Newport/Middletown, Rhode Island.

She spent over 30 years working for Roma, a color chemical company, in Fall River, MA. Her time there filled her days with purpose and joy. Always patient and kind to both colleagues and clients, Samia spent her life as a devoted servant of Christ, reflecting His love to everyone she met.

Samia shared her faith, time, and love with her two nieces, Noella and Christianne, and one nephew, Joseph. She was deeply involved in their lives as children and young adults, taking them on adventures, caring for them, picking them up from college, and sharing many memories together.

In her retirement, she continued her selfless service by volunteering in her community which included weekly visits with shut ins and nursing home patients. Samia was an elegant and beautiful woman, known for wearing heels at any occasion. She loved fashion, music, classic movies, cooking, and was an avid reader and prayerful person.

Samia is survived by her loving and devoted brother, Sami and his wife Marie, their three children, Noella, Joseph and his wife Mattie, and Christianne and her husband Carlos and their three children Layla, Nina, and Carlito.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 21 at 10:00 AM at St. Lucy's Church in Middletown, followed by the burial at St. Columba's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks friends to perform a random act of kindness for someone in need.
