Shawn P. Riley, a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on June 9, 2026, in Boston, Massachusetts. Born on December 5, 1973, in New London, Connecticut, Shawn lived a life marked by quiet strength.
Shawn was known by all who knew him as a gentle giant-calm, easygoing, and always ready with a helping hand. His deep love for his family was evident, especially his affection for his nieces and nephews. Family meant the world to Shawn, and his presence will be missed by all who knew him.
Beyond his work on the road as a dedicated truck driver, Shawn had a genuine passion for the world of technology. He was the go-to tech guy, always patient and skilled when helping others troubleshoot computers or understand new gadgets. His enthusiasm extended into his love for cars and mechanics, where his knowledge and skill were evident. In his downtime, Shawn found joy in movies and techno music, interests that reflected a vibrant inner world beneath his calm exterior.
Shawn is survived by his loving mother, Nancy Nicolet, as well as his siblings Shane Riley and Amy Ojeda, along her with husband Roma. He is also survived by his nieces Savannah, Amariana, Nevaeh, and Kaylee, his nephew Tyler, his aunt Beth Westcott, his uncles Robert and William Westcott and Steven Ramsdell, and his great aunt Donna Menzi.
Calling Hours and Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, June 18, from 4:30-6:30pm at Connors Funeral Home located at 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI 02871.
Shawn P. Riley leaves behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and quiet strength. May he rest in peace.
