Stanley Hurley

Stanley Hurley, 52 of Middletown passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at home with his family by his side.Born on February 8, 1964 he was the son of Irene C. Hurley and the late Francis N. Hurley.Stanley was a graduate of Rogers High School. He was an avid fisherman. He was previously employed by the Preservation Society of Newport. He was an active member of the friendly Sons of Newport where he was loved and respected by all.In addition to his father, Stanly is predeceased by his sister Terrie Cochran.He leaves behind his wife of 15 years, LaNora "Siren" (Brandon) Hurley. He was the father of Shane Hurley of Middletown, RI, Mya Benz of Newport, RI and Kayla Stewart and her husband Caleb of South Carolina. He also has one grandson Eli Stewart.He is also survived by his siblings, Alethea M. Douglas of Middletown, RI, Donna M. Johnson of Newport, RI, Frances Valles of Virginia Beach, VA, Robert Cochran of Colorado Springs, CO, Frank Cochran of Pawtucket, RI, Catherine Cannon of Maryland and James Hurley of Middletown, RI.He also leaves a host of nieces and nephews to whom he was very close and loved dearly.Calling hour will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2016, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, in Mt. Zion Church, with his service to follow at 11:00 am.Burial will be in Middletown Cemetery, Turner and Wyatt Road, Middletown.
