Theresa Hadad

Theresa D. (Duquette) Hadad, 93, of Portsmouth, RI, died on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at Kent Hospital. She was the wife of the late Norman R. Hadad.  Born in Fall River, MA in 1931, she was the daughter of the late Leo A. and Clara (LaFlamme) Duquette.

Theresa was very active in music. She was a long time choir member of St. Barnabas Church, a music director of the Portsmouth Senior Center and a member there for 16 years. She was a piano and keyboard teacher for over 40 years. She taught literally hundreds of students during that time and loved every minute of doing so. Theresa enjoyed gardening and taking care of dogs.

She is survived by her son Robert G. Hadad and his wife Dana, three grandchildren, her sister Claudette Bisson and brothers Armond Duquette and wife Ellen, and Paul M. Duquette and wife Carol. She also had two deceased brothers Leo G. Duquette and Roland Duquette. Theresa also has many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date at St. Barnabas Church, 1697 East Main Road, Portsmouth.
