Timothy J. Deacon passed away at home on February 24, 2024 in Warwick, RI, after a long illness. Formerly of Middletown, RI, he graduated from Middletown High School and the University of Rhode Island. He worked as an Electronic Test Technician in the marine and other industries prior to retiring.

Growing up, Tim was a member of St. Mary's Church in Newport, RI and enjoyed surfing at Second Beach and intramural sports at the YMCA. More recently, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends in Warwick, RI and with his beloved cat Jonesy. He was an avid animal lover, having taken care of many dogs and cats over the years.

He is predeceased by his parents, John Deacon and Annette (Lambert) Deacon, a brother Edward Deacon, and a sister Paula Deacon. He is survived by his good friend, Jodie Skinnard of West Warwick, RI, her daughter-in-law, Christine Cappello of Warwick, RI and Jodie's grandchildren, Zoey and Sean Skinnard. He is also survived by his sister Kathleen Reynolds and her husband Edward of Middletown, RI; and his two nephews Brian Reynolds of McLean, VA, and Robert Reynolds of North Stonington, CT.

The Memorial Funeral Home in Newport, RI will handle the funeral arrangements. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, February 28, at St. Lucy's Church, 909 West Main Rd in Middletown. Burial will be in St. Columba Catholic Cemetery, Brown's Lane, Middletown. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests spiritual bouquets, mass intentions, or donations made to St Lucy's Church in his name.
