Timothy McKinney

Timothy Michael McKinney, 69, of Newport, Rhode Island, passed away on September 13, 2025.

Timothy was born on February 18, 1956, in Syracuse, New York, to the late Eva Robinson and the late Ronnie McKinney. He made his home in Newport, Rhode Island, where he built a life surrounded by family and friends.

Timothy was a skilled contractor and the proud owner of McKinney Painting Company, which he operated with dedication and craftsmanship. Outside of his work, he enjoyed spending time fishing, a pastime that brought him peace and joy.

He is survived by his brother, Jay McKinney; his stepbrother, Michael Robinson; his stepsister, Ronda Robinson; his cousins, Mary Berry and Wendy Little; his aunt, Doris Little; and his nieces, nephews, and their families.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eva Robinson and Ronnie McKinney; his stepfather, James Robinson; and his siblings Christine McKinnon, Larry McKinney, and Winston McKinney.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Emmanuel Church in Newport, Rhode Island.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
