Vincent Lawrence Coggeshall

Portsmouth, RI - Vincent Lawrence Coggeshall, 84, of 72 Point Road, Portsmouth, RI, died peacefully at home on April 12, 2009.He was the husband of Betty Jean Taylor Coggeshall. Born in Portsmouth, RI on July 31, 1924, he was the son of the late Vincent Lee and Laura Marshall Coggeshall.Mr. Coggeshall was a graduate of Rogers High School and RT Radio and Electronics of Providence. Vincent served in the United States Navy during World War II. He worked as an Electronics Tester for Northrop Grumman for 46 years, retiring in 1990. He enjoyed reading, building and boating. Besides his wife of 48 years, he is survived by his son Robert Alan Coggeshall of Portsmouth, RI, his brother Herbert L. Coggeshall of New Britain, CT, his sister Phyllis L. Correia of Portsmouth, RI and several nieces and nephews.He was the father of the late John Lee Coggeshall and the brother of the late Priscilla Holley. His funeral will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2009, at 11:00, in Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth.Burial will be in Portsmouth Cemetery in Portsmouth.Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2009, from 4-8 in the funeral home.
