Wanda Gwinn

June 17, 1966 — February 6, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Wanda Gwinn, a beloved sister, dedicated insurance adjuster, and passionate individual, who left us on February 6, 2026, at the age of 59. Born on June 17, 1966, in Newport, Rhode Island, Wanda was a true Newporter, whose heart was as vibrant as her cherished hometown's shores.

Wanda dedicated 12 years of her career to Amica Insurance as an adjuster, demonstrating unwavering commitment and loyalty in her work. Prior to her time at Amica, she proudly served at Bank of America. Wanda took her responsibilities seriously, always striving for excellence while maintaining a quiet yet steadfast presence.

Beyond her professional life, Wanda was a multifaceted individual with many passions. She held a love for martial arts, expressing her strength and discipline, and found joy in diamond and gem painting. Her favorite colors, blue and purple, reflected her vibrant spirit. Wanda was also an avid traveler and photographer, sharing a special bond with her twin brother, whom she called her "womb mate" Wendall, as they competed in capturing the beauty of sunsets together. Her love for the beach and photography forever intertwined, as she found serenity and inspiration in the coastal landscapes of her childhood.

As a proud graduate of Rogers High School (Class of 1986), Wanda valued education and personal growth. She was known for her private nature, choosing to keep her circle close, yet her loyalty to family and friends remained unwavering.

Wanda is survived by her loving brother, Wendell Gwinn, and her sisters, Brenda Gwinn, Constance Gwinn, Carness Gwinn-Cuningham, and Gina Gwinn-Foster. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Wanda will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, William and Gloria Gwinn, as well as her brothers, Thomas, Ricky, and Kevin.

Rest in peace, dear Wanda. Your light will live on in all our hearts.
