William Bradford

William H. Bradford, Jr. 87, of Newport, RI, passed away on April 24, 2025. Born in Newport, RI on August 14, 1937, he was the son of William and Martha (Weston) Bradford. William graduated from Rogers High School and later embarked on a career as a Mechanical Engineer at Raytheon Corporation in Portsmouth, RI. Realizing the need to share his talent, he later taught drafting at Thompson Middle School in Newport, Rhode Island as well as the Alternative Learning Program.

In his spare time, William enjoyed a quiet life with his children, playing or watching football and tennis, camping and designing lay-outs for friends and family's home renovations and volunteering his time at the Masonic Temple.

Known to his closest friends and family, "Bubba" was loved by all and he will be missed.

William is survived by his children; Debra Bradford-Allawi, of Stafford, Virginia, William Bradford, III and Troy Bradford, both of whom from Newport, Rhode Island. He also leaves his Grandchildren Devin, Donesha, Alana, Hamid, Ava and Geia.

William is preceded in death by his daughter Nicole Bradford, his sisters Constant Bradford and Audrey Frazier and brother Donald Bradford.
