- William F. Santos, 69, of 214 Morrison Avenue Middletown, died Thursday, September 12, 2002 at Newport Hospital Newport, RI.He was the husband of Mary Theresa Pimental Santos, member of the Middletown Town Council, to whom he would have been married to for 46years on Sunday. Born in Newport, RI on September 15, 1932, he was the son of Louise J. Furtado Santos of Middletown and the late Manuel C. Santos.Mr. Santos was a Sargent in the United States Army serving in Korea. Mr. Santos worked at Raytheon for 32 years retiring in 1992. He was an avid fisherman. Besides his wife and mother he is survived by two sons Michael Santos of Middletown, RI, and William Santos of Tiverton, RI, a brother Francis Santos of Middletown, RI, and his sister Mary Halama of Le Masa, CA.He was the brother of the late Manuel and Joseph Santos. His funeral will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2002, at 8:00 AM from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian burial at 9:00 AM in Jesus Saviour Church, Broadway And Vernon Avenue, Newport. Burial will be in Newport Memorial Park in Middletown. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the Middletown Rescue Wagon Fund, 239 Wyatt Road, Middletown, RI 02842..
