William George Reynolds

Portsmouth, RI - William George Reynolds, 91, of Portsmouth, RI, died Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Village House Nursing Home, Newport, RI. He was the husband of Louise M. Reynolds. Born in Newport, RI on Oct. 22, 1920, he was the son of the late Manuel and Mary (Morgan) Reynolds. Mr. Reynolds served in the Army during World War II, in the European Theatre and participated in the Battle of The Bulge. He worked as a civilian administrator on the Navy base at the Supply Center. He was an avid New York Yankees fan, and could always be seen enjoying a good cigar. He is survived by his wife Louise M. Reynolds of Portsmouth, RI, his daughter Andrea Reynolds of Riverside, RI., his son William G. Reynolds, Jr. and his wife Helga of Tiverton, RI, his grandson Jason Reynolds and his great grandson Brandon Reynolds both of Tiverton, RI.He is predeceased by his late brothers, George Reynolds, Joseph Reynolds, Frank Reynolds, Edward Reynolds, and his late sister Laura Edwards.
