William James Hall

William J. Hall, 78, of Carver Street, Portsmouth, passed away on Friday, August 19, 2016 at home.He is the husband of Mary Ann (Crowell) Hall.Born on December 7, 1937 in Newport, RI, and preceded in death by his parents William Hall and Violet (Kettle) Hall and sister Lorraine (Hall) Davol.Mr. Hall was a veteran of the US Army and retired after 25 years as a Master Sergeant with the RI Army National Guard 1/126th Aviation Battalion.In addition to his wife, he survived by his son, Gregory Hall (wife, Robin Santurri) of Portsmouth and daughter, Gina Hall (partner, Sean Ray) of Madison, WI., brother-in-law, Asa Davol, two sisters-in-law, Betty Crowell of Nashville, TN and Gail (Crowell) Coleman of Huntingdon, TN; his nephews, Bruce Davol of New Hampton, NH, Steve Davol of Tiverton, RI, and Michael Coleman of Huntingdon, TN, and niece, Cherie (Coleman) Hackney of Nashville, TN.
