William Jennings Bryant

William Jennings Bryant, Sr., 84, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, September 14, 2018.
He was born in San Diego, CA, the son of the late Chief Warrant Officer James E. Bryant, Sr. and Abbie Bryant.
He leaves behind his wife of 65 years, Alice D. Bryant. He is also survived by four children - Deborah Owens and husband Douglas; William J. Bryant, Jr. and wife Lisa; Alice Aledia and husband Lamberto; Michael J. Bryant and wife Ellie. He also leaves a brother, James E. Bryant, Jr., and a sister, Rev. Mary Jane Korte. He was predeceased by his brother Robert Bryant. William leaves 10 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
William served honorably in the Navy during the Korean War.
In the early 1970s, William was president of the Babe Ruth Baseball in Middletown. He also started and coached the Newport Creamery Babe Ruth team. William enjoyed camping, fishing and attending NASCAR races.
His funeral services will be private.
