William John Voogt

William John Voogt, passed away on September 9, 2016 in Fall River, MA. William was born December 22, 1949 in Newport, RI. He is the son of John P. Voogt and the late Dorothy E. Stanford. William grew up in Rhode Island, the oldest son of John Voogt and Dorothy Sanford Voogt. He was a Vietnam War veteran, having served for the 82nd Airborne in the United States Army from 1966-1969. Mr. Voogt is survived by his father, John P. Voogt, his siblings: Daryl Voogt, John Voogt, Ed Voogt, and Sandy Gruszie; three children: William MacDonald, Phillip Voogt, and Shirley Pinella. He also leaves behind nine grandchildren, Melody MacDonald, Tiffany MacDonald, Tyler MacDonald, Madison Voogt, Myles Voogt, Morgan Bennett, Ashlee Marie, Cameron Michael, and Justin Trent, and two great grandchildren Colton Chiriboga and Raiden Zai.Calling hours will be held on Monday September 26, 2016 from 5 to 8pm in the Memorial Funeral Home 375 Broadway in Newport, RI., Military Honors will be rendered at 6pm in the funeral home.
