Newport, - William Joseph Blake, 61, of Broadway Newport, died Wednesday, February 5, 2003 at Newport Hospital Newport, RI.He was the husband of Elaine Marie Gracie Blake. Born in Newport, RI on February 1, 1942, he was the son of Florence Hedly Blake Potts of Middletown, and the late William J. Blake, Jr. Mr. Blake enjoyed motorcycle riding over the years. He was a CB radio operator enjoyed using the handle ?Moby?. He is survived by his wife Elaine Marie Blake of Newport, RI, his mother Florence Hedley Blake Potts of Middletown, RI, two sons William J. Blake, IV and Brian M. Blake both of Newport, RI, two daughters Debra Blake of Newport, RI, and Doreen Broomhead of Providence, RI, four brothers John Blake of Newport, RI, Edward Potts of Middletown, RI, Lyman Potts of Portsmouth, RI, Lawrence Potts of Middletown, RI, a sister Carol Potts of Newport, RI, two granddaughters Megan and Lindsey Broomhead of Providence, RI and several nieces and nephews. His funeral will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2003, at 11:00am in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery in Middletown.
