Wreaths Across America’s Mobile Exhibit will visit Middletown to Honor Veterans and Supporters
Memorial Funeral Homes & St. Lucy’s Catholic Church are proud to announce a local stop for the Wreaths Across America Mobile Education Exhibit national tour.
Rhode Islanders will have the chance to honor fallen soldiers as part of a nation-wide tour remembering those who served in the military.
The public is welcome to a free exhibit bringing people together through interactive displays, short films and shared stories on veterans and military service inside a mobile museum. Wreaths Across America is widely admired for placing more than 2.7 million wreaths at 3,700 locations around the world every year. But its mission is to educate and remember veterans yearlong, leading to the introduction of its Mobile Education Exhibit offering, now visiting several states along the East Coast.
Memorial Funeral Homes and St. Lucy's Catholic Church are working together with the organization to put Middletown on the map for a national tour teaching the next generation "the value of freedom."
“The Mobile Education Exhibit provides the unique opportunity for communities to come together and share the stories of those who served and sacrificed." Wreaths Across America executive director Karen Worcester said in a press release.
The free exhibit is open to the public at 909 West Main Road from Dec. 2 to Dec. 3 between 10a to 6p; Dec. 4 between 10a to 4p. Donations will go to funding wreaths for the graves of veterans on Dec. 14 at the Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Exeter, RI.
